Clear Artistic Stamps Whispers of Dreams set
I decided to use the Whispers of Dreams stamp set in this project. I was able to use all four of the phrases, the two flowers, and the largest piece of the set.
You may want to check and be sure that your acrylic block will fit between the wood slats on the umbrella before you begin stamping. This will help you decide how to place the stamps on your block and how far up the umbrella you will be able to stamp with a block.
First, I used the big piece of the set, stamping in every other section all the way around the umbrella. Be careful while stamping so you don’t accidentally poke a hole in the umbrella.
Then, I placed the two flowers on the acrylic block. Since my block wouldn’t fit exactly where I wanted to place the flowers, I had to place the flowers higher up on the block instead of the center of it. I then inked them up and stamped in all the empty sections all the way around the umbrella.
Finally, the phrases. This was the tricky part because my acrylic block wouldn’t fit between the wood slats where I wanted to place the phrases. I ended up sticking the stamp to my finger to ink it up and then also to stamp with. I very carefully placed the stamp on the umbrella and used my other hand to help align and apply pressure. Then I very carefully and slowly removed my hand so as not to smear the image or ink. I was able to use all four phrases four times each alternating each one all the way around the umbrella.
Be sure the phrase is placed correctly on your finger so your not stamping upside down or anything.
You can stamp on the inside or outside of the umbrella. I chose to do both. This was neat because you can see the shadows of the other stamps through the umbrella. This also helped since my block wouldn’t fit all the way up the umbrella on the inside.
Well, that’s how I did it. Hope you enjoy this project as much as I did.
