I stamped the flower and butterflies twice. then I colored the pieces that I wanted to cut out and gave it a good spray with clear Krylon. Doing that makes the card stock a bit more stable, yet flexible enough so that you can shape your cut outs. I often shape the cut out parts (roll over finger) which gives them more dimension and hides the pop dots as well. The background was fun to do: I stamped the small flower repeatedly in two different colors (SU dye inks classics) and then gave it all a nice wash with a large brush and water. This dilutes the colors and shapes a bit just in a way that I wanted, home-made designer paper!
Here is a closeup of the flower
